Ski and winter holidays: book the parking before the snow
December and the ski holidays fill Zaventem and its car parks. Why booking early matters, how to handle a long winter stay, and the midnight-return case.

Every winter, the same film: December flights get booked in October, the ski bags come out of the cellar, and the car parks around Zaventem fill up while everyone looks elsewhere. If you are flying this winter, the parking gets sorted now, not the night before.
Why winter saturates the car parks
The Christmas holidays squeeze two weeks of departures into a few days, and the stays are long: a ski week, ten days with family, sometimes three weeks in the sun. Long stays mean spots occupied for a long time. A car park showing full on December 20 usually became full at the end of November.
What booking early actually changes
- Choice: you book your exact dates instead of taking what is left.
- Price: at P12 the amount locks at booking. Booking in October for December freezes the October rate.
- Peace of mind: cancellation stays free until 4 hours before drop-off. Booking early costs nothing, even if plans change.
The midnight-return case
Ski flights like landing late: Geneva 22:40, Innsbruck 23:15. At P12 it changes nothing: the shuttle runs 24/7 non-stop, your car waits in the departure zone, windscreen de-iced if the night froze. Nobody sleeps in an airport hall because a car park closed.
The winter checklist
- Roof box: flag an XL vehicle at booking, it takes two spots and needs planning.
- Battery: two weeks of frost is a test. A battery older than 5 years deserves a check before departure.
- Winter washer fluid and a scraper in the boot: your future self will thank you at landing.
And if you chain February ski, Easter sun and next summer: that is exactly the Season Pass profile, 5 € per parking day for 12 months. Winter is long, it might as well be well parked.
